'Tap testing' involves inputting a known impulse force into the cutting tool and measuring the resultant modes of vibration within the tool, holder, spindle and machine structure. Spindle speeds can then be selected which avoid resonant frequencies and enable increased depth of cut and tool life.

We offer on site and secure off site sub-contract programming in CATIA V5, Siemens NX, Mastercam and Hypermill. We can supply CAM files, NC Programs, Setup Sheets, Tooling Lists, verified STL models showing cut stock vs. part model, and provide on site proveout support. 

We can measure, analyse and evaluate machining processes to determine their efficiency and resolve issues such as chatter or surface finish anomalies. We also offer Machine Tool Health Checks to check for wear or damage to machine structures and spindles.
